Evaluation 4

Blogger has majorly helped me through all three stages of my production as it was my main platform in which I uploaded all of my work onto. This meant that I had my work on internet which mean that it could easily be accessed I could have it with me where ever I’m. having a smart phone really came in handy when it come to planning and research and some parts of the production as it allowed us to have quick portable access to the internet. This is useful as it is important to check the weather before you go off record as it may a bad day with rain. Also contact, smart phone helped me stay in contact with all the people I needed at the time so it was easy to organize a shooting schedule. Some things cant be done on the computer thats why it is important to record the right clips before editing and also having the right camera for the job.

Having to use two different type of cameras helped a lot with the production as it was made feeling some the slow motion shots better quality, this is because some cameras can record more frames per second meaning as the video is slowed down the quality isn't dragged down with it. Final cut was a new software to me however is was fairly simple to get used to and although it was simple and didn'tt have much effects I still manages to find the effects that would work for my video and that helped me keep the simplicity in my video.

Lynda.com as been the most helpful as it is a online training site which gives you little lesson on how to use different effects and tools in your chosen soft ware. In my case I used lynda.com to learn more about final cut and the effects and how to recreate the image I had in my head. Most of the research has been done through good and I think that helped with the process of everything because anything that I needed to search up I would type it into google and get the answer immediately. Lastly youtube has helped me with all the research and most of the planning as it helped me view other videos and also screen shot.

Evaluation 3

Once we had finished the video once we viewed it to peers and teachers to get feedback. Positive comments from peers gave us more confidence to do better however constructive criticism from teacher helped pin point specific areas in which we needed more work on. Peers that weren't into the genres didn'tt enjoy it as well as people who were into the genre. Also negative questionnaires feedback and  Facebook comments helped us patch up our mistakes. Feedback helps you understand peoples view point on your product and this helped me getting a better understanding of what people expect from a Rap music video.

Comments made it easy to understand which parts of the video we done well and which parts we needed work on. What I did was every time I made a big change to the video I would present the original and the changed to a member of my target audience and ask for their feedback. Then depending on whether the feedback is negative or positive I would either keep the changes I made for revert back to the original.

Evaluation 2

Having a brand identity is like having a continuous theme that runs throughout all the product, for example the colours black and gold are used throughout all the products. This creates a theme throughout all the products which also links them all to each other and also gives the artist their own style. French Montana uses black and gold as the main colours of his mixtape cover and promonational post.

I have created brand identity by applying the same 2 colours throughout all my products. Also the main character is always wearing Versace sun glasses which unique and helps create his image and brand identity.

My digipak will grab the target audiences attention because of the colour palette and also the famous icons of expensive designer. Also it will sell the artist as well as the song as it would show the recent success the artist has had.The advert will show the front cover of the digipak as well as important information about purchasing the product. this will provide the audience with everything they need to know about the product. By making the advert and front cover of the digipak the same it keeps it simple however it works because there isn't too much information about the product it self which will build curiosity that may lead to more people to purchase the product.

The main elements that give away my genre are the pictures of the main artist on the front and also the pictures of materialistic things, because most rappers talk about cars, jewelry and women however I'm not using women to market the product because of the Mulvey’s male gaze theory.

Final MV

This is our final music video. This is a narrative based music video with some parts of concept. The video is based around the main character that is set to be French Montana having a flash back of a time when he was betrayed and you get to see how he dealt with it. The video contains effects which help separate the flash back from real life and make it clear to the audience what is going on.
